MCO is under the direction of Trevor Lutzenhiser, Conductor and Artistic Director. He has led the orchestra since 2007 and under his guidance and inspiration, the orchestra has grown in both membership and orchestral programming. The orchestra plays a varied repertoire of classical music and presents three concerts each season along with other community oriented events. We have a growing group of amateur musicians that support arts and music and enjoy sharing their passion through our community performances.
MCO provides performance and educational opportunities for regional musicians to create integrative musical experiences for the community.
The Mukilteo Community Orchestra (MCO) is a regional community orchestra, housed at the Rosehill Community Center in downtown Mukilteo. Founded by a small group of local musicians in 1998, the group has grown over the years into a full orchestra of 50 members, drawing musicians from throughout south Snohomish and north King County. Our musicians are all volunteers who play for the enjoyment of making music, and range in age, experience, and musical backgrounds. After 10 years of increasing growth, the orchestra incorporated in 2009 as a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization.
